Human Situation All humans are sinners and are therefore doomed to go to hell and suffer for eternity. Salvation is through faith in Christ and, for some, sacraments and good works.
Life’s Purpose To praise God (Jesus Christ) and save souls.
Afterlife The soul is created at conception and lives forever. Those who recognize Jesus Christ, repent their sins, and are saved are forgiven and enter Heaven to live an angelic life for eternity. All those who do not are doomed to suffer in hell forever. There are differences between sects of Christianity over the relative importance of faith versus works.
