Working with 12-14 year-olds is a wonderful challenge and great service. This is the age when many youngsters are waking up to the realization that the world is a lot more of everything than they thought. They are no longer children filled with wide-eyed wondered, and they are not yet teenagers with the growing ability to formulate meaningful questions, follow-up with focused research, and draw conclusions for themselves. If you've had experience teaching children's classes please share it with us.
So, if you've taught this age group or if you’ve taught junior youth empowerment classes before you have a lot to offer. Your insights, your tips, could be the difference between helping some of these young people, or not. Your experience, and the tools and techniques you have garnered over the years could be the difference between steering a junior youth into a positive, constructive direction in life, or not. Here's what people have shared with us.
Or maybe you are thinking about teaching a junior youth empowerment class and are unsure of the best way to proceed? You may have many questions. Whether you have one burning question or a thousand, you can ask them in our Junior Youth forum. Go in and look around. If you like what you see join the forum and the group – the Junior Youth Group and get to know other teachers and parents.
If you are a teacher we desperately need your input and if you are a parent of a child at this age we need your insights as well.
